While seeing his famous song cycle „Winterreise“ into print, Schubert revised several of its songs. Our revised new edition of the Urtext contains not only the familiar printed version but alternative earlier versions of Auf dem Flusse, Rast, Frühlingstraum, Mut and Die Nebensonnen, all of them fully capable of being performed. It thus offers, for the first time, all the performable material of the „Winterreise“ in a scholarly-critical edition suitable for performers.<br>
