A collection of choral music from Israel, largely in Jewish style. Besides traditional prayerbook melodies transcribed and arranged by well-known composers, it also contains such “hits” as Neomi Shemer's Yerushalayim shel zaha. The editor, Yuval Ben-Ozer is one of the foremost young Israeli conductors, having worked with many leading orchestras and conductors such as the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, Zubin Mehta and Daniel Barenboim. In 1993 he founded the New Israeli Vocal Ensemble “NIVE”, whose repertoire encompasses traditional to contemporary Israeli music.
