The musical setting of the Latin hymn Te Deum laudamus was written shortly before Dvorak's departure for America. This text meant a lot to the composer and, in his conception, the work brings together the sacred music tradition so familiar to Dvorak from Czech church choirs, and the majestic oratorio style. The piano reduction, based on the critical edition of the score, was produced by Karel Solc. This title is part of the first Complete Critical Edition of Works by Antonin Dvorak.
