Micka's teaching book for young violinists contains 42 etudes with second violin accompaniment. The second violin complements the etudes in harmonic and sometimes also rhythmical aspects, thus providing support for intonation and encouraging rhythmical playing. They are deliberately written as simply as possible, in order that they can also be played by a second, more advanced pupil. The accompaniment may also be played on the piano.<br>
